Delicious garlic bread started the meal. We had two pieces each and it was soft inside and crisp on the outside, just the way i like it. Very nice!
Then the highlight of the night – the 250g rump steak with bernaise sauce.
Philip’s steak was cold when it arrived, so it was sent back and replaced with a steak that had steam pouring off it. He was very pleased and ate all but a mouthful, knowing he had dessert yet to come.
The dessert came out when we had finished our steak and the fruit cake was steamed and covered in custard, with a dollop of cream and sprig of mint.
